SCA Swimming Pool Opens for the 2026 Season
The SCA Pool Committee is proud to announce the opening of the swimming pool for the summer season. Returning pool manager Emilie Combs and our lifeguard crew look forward to welcoming you.
- Open Dates: The pool opens for the season, Saturday, May 23 and runs through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
- New Weekend Hours: The pool will open earlier hours on weekends, holidays, and (in mid-summer) Mondays. On these days, lap swimming will begin at 10:00 am with open swimming beginning at 11:00 am.
- Limited Weekdays: The pool will have limited weekday hours early and late in the season, when Calvert County Public Schools are open. See the operating schedule below.
- Rest Period: As in previous years, a 15-minute child rest period will begin at :45 past each hour, ending at the top of the hour.
- Weather Alerts: In the event of nearby thunderstorms or heavy rain, the pool will close until conditions clear. Everyone must vacate the pool enclosure when the pool closes for weather events.
- Special Events: Join us after hours for Family Swim Nights on Saturday, June 20 and Saturday, August 8, in addition to swim races on July 4. More details to come!

Early Season – May 23 to June 12
Saturdays and Sundays (plus Memorial Day):
- Lap Swim: 10:00-11:00 am
- All Swim: 11:00 am-7:00 pm
Mondays through Fridays, May 26 to June 12:
- Lap Swim: 10:30-12:00 pm
- All Swim: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
Mid-Summer – June 13 to August 24
Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays (including July 4):
- Lap Swim: 10:00-11:00 am
- All Swim: 11:00 am-7:00 pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, June 15 to August 24:
- Lap Swim: 10:30-12:00 noon
- All Swim: 12:00 noon-7:00 pm
Late Season – August 25 to September 7
Saturdays and Sundays (plus Labor Day):
- Lap Swim: 10:00-11:00 am
- All Swim: 11:00 am-7:00 pm
Mondays through Fridays, August 25 to September 4:
- Lap Swim: 10:30-12:00 pm
- All Swim: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm
